C. reports fine progress with the monument. i)ne incident worthy of special 1 note is the gift of $13.00 from the Manndale School, Prof, A. T. Hurst, Superintendent. This was raised on "The School Children's Cards" put into the county schools by the Daughters, SI.OO being the amount raised on each card. Manndale is the banner Bchool to date, and the Chapter, will present the school with ' a large framed portrait of General Lee, as a reward of merit for this interest and effort in com- j memorating our Southern heroes.
