The "Annual Oyster Supper" by the
ladies of this community, whicbrtook
place on Tuesday night, was a great
success in every particular. The at
tendance was large, the exercises . by
the children before the serving of re
freshments, were splendid, and - the
speech of Rev. G.xM. Duke, was high
ly en joved Senator B. T. Holden, de
livered in his happy style, two prizes,
-to Miss Mary Webb, as the "prettiest
girl" so decided by vote and the
other to Mr. J- H. Uzzell. who was u-
nanimously voted as being'lhe .'laziest '
man in the community. . The, object of
theoccassion was - to raise money to
pay for the piano, and your correspond
ent is pleased to state that a good
