ty for clu?. girls was held at Justice
begins ing Monday 25 and ending Fri
day 29. Franklinton. White Level. Se
ven Path*. Justice, Cedar Hock. Sandy
Creek, Pine Hidgo and Mitchiner clubs
were represented. Through the kind
ness of Mr. J. C. Bowden, the girls
an<L chap-rones were furnished with a

necessities.
Some of the best teachers in the
county wore among the chapcrorteB.
The cann teachers were Misses Ernes
tine Hay s. Bessie High. Pauline Smith
and Rev T. D. Collins. The morn
ings were devoted to lesions, leaving
the afternoons and evenings open for
wholesome recreation. Miss High, a
splendid nurse, wko formerly has had
charge of the operating room at the
James Walker Memorial Hospital,
Wilmington, gave lessons on home
nursing and personal hygiene. Dur
ing the series of lessons, shedjjsi^
strated the correct method^?'^ed ma
kiftg, cleaning bed linen under sick,
changing patient's lirten, various baths
bandaging. broken and sore limbs, use
of hot water bottle, ice cap, fever ther
mometers. shampoo, care of nails, etc.
The course in Play Ground games and
Story Telling by Miss Hayes was very
good. The demonstrations "How to
conduct an interesting Young Peoples
Prayer Service" and "Program for a
Young People's Social" prepared by
Miss Hayes deserve especial mention.
Classes were held in the Justice
High School building and in the living
room of Mrs. W. Taft.
The people of the neighborhood ex- 1
tended the girls every courtesy and
hospitality. Mr. J. C. Bowden and!
Mrs. Tali helped in every way possi
ble to make the school a perfect suc
cess. Each one who was fortunate
enough to b?- present says It was per
fect. The young men sent their cars
on every occasion their cars were nee- j
ded. They kept the campers in mel
ons. Messrs. P. S. & K. K. Allen
sent complimentary tickets for the [
Movies7 On Thursday evening as a
climax to the fun a ride was arranged
ending with a most enjoyable chicken 1
fry given by Mr. Bowden.
