The doiogftf of the Baptist chur. ches of Franklin County met at San dy Creek church on Saturday before the 5th Sunday in May, , 1921. The pastor, J. U. Teague stated the object 4-o* the meeting and called Dr. W. R. Burrell, of Louisburg to act as chair n*an_pr_otem. Dr. Burrell called~the meeUng to order and the 5th Sunday Union meeting was organized in due form with J. U. Teague as moderator, and G. M. Beam as vice-moderator, and Bro. G. B. West, secretary. Roll of delegates from various ch urches was called with almost every church represented. At 11:30 a. m. Dr. W. R. Burrell preached a very timely and helpful sermon to a large and appreciative audience. His subject was "The Gos pel of Christ is the power of God. unto Salvation." 1 Dr. Burrell then explained^ hnw we could all help by giving some old clothes to the famine stricken coun sel**. ? ? ? Meeting adjourned and a bounteous dinner was served on the grounds.
