regard to Miss Irene P. Gupton who is
teaching in Durham county. At a box
party given a short while ago, her
box brought the highest price and in
the "beauty contest" she was easily

The program given ?t the Center
Tills school building last Wednesday
night was quite a auoceaa. Every
body had a moat enjoyable time and
the proceeds amounted to 141 clear
ot expense. This amount will be
used for the benefit ot ths school.
Although Thanksgiving was a dis
mal day regarding the weather it did
not seem to be ao otherwise. Many
of the young people enjoyed them
selves In various ways. Some enjoy
ed a hunt, others the (ox chase while
others enjoyed programs given at va
rious schools or churches.

ton Burnetts, Ruth Parrlsh and Irene
Qupton motored to Henderson, Ox
ford, Norllna, Warrenton and several
smaller town on Thanksgiving. They
reported a very pleasant trip.
