The board of dl | rectors of the North Carolina Cotton I Growers Cooperative Asst elation have > placed themselves on record as being ' positively opposed to tie passage of , any law of the United States fixing the prlcc of farm commodities. In a resolution adopted by the board of directors and sent by their instructions to the members of the House of Re presentatives and the Sen'tcrs of North Carolina the board says, "The board of directors of the North Carolina Cotton Growers Association after con sidering the matter of legislative fix ing of prices on farm commodities Is convinced thr.t such action would be economically unsound, that It would not give the desired relief, that it would encourage the dumping of farm pro. duct on the market within a short period immediately following harvest and would, therefore, result in the violation of the principles and pur poses of cooperative mr.rketlrg. Now, therefore, -be ? it ? i eaolved ? that tHW board looks with disf.'or on any ef fort on the part of the Government to determine prices on farm commo dities." STOPt*Jil< Leaning over in a confiding manner, Mildred whispered to her friend: "Do you kow Harry was wearing my picture over his heart In France and it stopped a bullet?"
