CONTRIBUTES TO WORLD WAR MEMORIAL Received From Board of Elec tions; Strikes Oft Outside Paupers; Receives Many Reports The Board of County Commission ers met in regular session on Mon day with all members present. After reading and approving minutes of previous meetings business was dis posed of as follows: Report of E. C. Perry, Superinten dent of Public Welfare, was received and tiled. 1 Road reports from the following townships were received and ordered filed: Cedar Rock, Louisburg and Cy press Creek. Mothers aid was continued for an other year by proper resolutions. A special tax school election was ordered for Flat Rock-Roberts school district in accordance with a petition presented. The Board ordered renewed a $20,. 000 note in contemplation of the col lection of taxes. | Report of Dr. J. E. Malone, County Health Officer, was received and fil 'ed. Upon order the valuation of Mrs. Mollie Harris' land, in Dunns town ship, was changed from $8,500 to $5, 500, on account of having sold 107 acres oft of her tract. It was ordered that all outside pau pers receiving not over $2 per month be stricken off the list. Report of A. H. Harris, County Farm 1 Agent, was received and filed. Report of John Hedgepeth, Super intendent of the county home, was re ceived and filed. He reports 4 white | and 10 colored inmates. W. O. Ball was allowed $10 for sheep and goats killed by dogs. The bond of the First National Bank 'as a depositor for the county home fund was received and approved. A drawback was issued to T. W. Boone for $4.81 error in listing taxes. Received of A. F. Johnson, Chair man Board of Elections, $88 filing fees in recent primary. An appropriation of $75 was made to American Legion Auxiliary to help to pay freight and to assist in the pur chase of a bronze tablet to be placed on the German gun as a memorial to the world war heroes. After allowing a number of accounts the Board adjourned to its next re gular meeting. EPWORTH LEAGUERS, IMPORTANT The Epworth League will meet Sun day evening at 7:15 in the Methodist' church.
