ME. A. A. SPEED DIES AT HOME OF BROTHER Mr. A. A. Speed died at the home of his brother, Mr. H. P. Speed, near Geld Sand on Friday morning. He was (4 years of age an leaves two brothers, Messrs, H. LARGE BIRD KILLED, PROBABLY AN EAGLE Youngsvllle, May 7.?While out feeding his stock. W. T. Hoyle was xttracted by a very large bird. The bird encircled Hoyle's premises sev eral times and Anally perched in a nearby field. Hoyle tried to scare the bird away by means of rocking, but found that he was opposed by a strong foe. He then returned to bis house and brought out his gun. On bis return he fired at the bird twice, missed him- with the first, but the second reached the vital spot. * On a close examination of the bird, it was found that it had a wing spread of seven feet and a huge bead. It is the first bird of Its kind ever seen flyine in this section. It has been concluded that it wajs blown here from Georgia by the terrific rain and windstorm.
