A most appro priate and interesting program is be. ing arranged and preparations are being made to accommodate the larg est crowd' ever before In attendance upon these services. Assurances have been given by many people from a distance that they will attend. The several committees are busy this week and next with all the de tails, arranging for the flowers, mus ic. automobiles and accommodations and it is encouraging to learn that they are meeting a hearty coopera tion in this work. Everybody is in. vited to take a part and help with this work of love. Don't get the idea that this is a soldier's organization and the citizens are not invited to take part. Skerrod one of Franklin County's "live at home" farmers, whose veracity is unquestioned, vou ches for the following: A year or more ago Mr. Sherrod planted two acres mixture for feed composed of wheat, oats, barley, vetch and white clover. He cut from these two acres It two horse loads of hay. ft was so tall that his 1100 lb. mules were hid den frOm sight save their ears. The crop was so thick that in catting, it was necessary to have a man throw the hay down behind the mower. An Idea of the rapid growth and density of the crop may be had from the fact| that there were found In the field three dead rabbits, five dead woods j rats and two dead snakes.
