PAUL'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH Quinquagesima Sunday ? The subject to be discussed in the Adult Bible Class this Sunday at 9:45 A.. M., will be The Religi ous Instinct. Wednesday, February 22nd, is Ash Wednesday. This marks the beginning of Lent. There will be a service in St. Paul's Church at 10:00 A. M. Miss Maude Cutler, Director of the Young People's work in the Diocese of North Carolina, will! begin a course of instruction on Monday, February 20th. Miss Cut-' ler's subject will be "The Church: and Her Missions." These meet-i ings will be for every one and will ?be held in tihe Rectory. L&UISBURG BAPTIST CHURCH On Sunday morning Dr. A. Paul Bagby spoke on "The Personal Equation in Religion." The wold Mary used in addressing Christ, "Raboni" was the text' of the ser mon. Dr. Bagby called to mind tlie fact that Zacchaeus addressed Christ as Rabbi which means "Teacher", but Mary used "Rab boni" which means "My Teacher." "Christ and the personal equation makes a difference whether we say Babbi or Raboni." Dr. Bagby brought out very forcefully this personal relationship. The prob lem of salvation, and the problem of sin are solved t'hrough a per sonal relationship to Jesus Christ. Likewise the service is to be solv ed through thiB personal relation ship. "Christ discovered the value of the first personal pronoun for mankind. He exalted personali ty." Dr. Hagby is supplying the pul pit at Wake Forest oil Sunday morning and evening. Our pulpit will be supplied by Rev. E. H. Davis who will preach at the 11:00 A. M. service. Dr. D. E. Earnhardt will preach at the 7,: 30 P. M. service. Sunday School at 9:45 'A. M. All young men from 17-25 are urged to attend Mr. G. M. Beam's class. Baptist Training Union at 6:30 P. M. Theme for the month is "Obedience to Authority." LOUISBURG METHODIST CHURCH Rev. R. W. Bradshaw and Miss , Alma Cade are leading in a quite successful training school this week. Classes will be held on Thursday and Friday nights of this week. The first claSs is at 7:00 and Wje second at 8:00. Those in-, terested may attenl either or both class sessions. Mr. Bradshaw is teaching a course of widest gen eral interest. It deals with the plain, old-fashioned matter of sav ing souls. Don't fail to hear him on that subject).
