A special election will be neid
between 6:30 A. M. and 6:30 P.
M., Eastern War Time, Tuesday,
September 19, 1944, at which
there will be submitted to the
qualified voters of the Town of
Louisburg the following ques
tions:
1. Shall an ordinance passed
on the 14th day of August,
1944, authorizing not ex
ceeding $15,000 bonds of
the Town of Louisburg for
the purpose of constructing
or reconstructing the si^rface
of streets in said Town, and
t tax for said bonds, be ap
proved?
2. Shall an ordinance passed
on the 14th day, of August,
\ 1944, authorizing not ex
ceeding $5,000 bonds of the
Town of Louisburg for the
purpose rff extending the ex
isting water works system i
of said Town, including the
erection and installation of
additional water purification
facilities, and a tax for said
bonds, be approved?
The questions hereinabove set
forth contain a statement of the
purpose for which the bonds are
authorized by the ordinance re
ferred to in each such question
respectively.
If the bonds are issued, a tax
will be levied for the payment of
the principal and interest thereof
on all taxable property in the
Town of Louisburg.
For said election the regular
registration books for elections in
said Town shall be used and such
books shall be open Tor the reg
istration of voters, not thereto
fore registered, from 9:00 A. M.
until Sunset on each day, except
Sundays ahd holidays, beginning
Saturday, August 26, 1944, and
closing Saturday, September 9,
1944. On each Saturday during
said period said books shall re
main open at the polling place.
The polling place and the names
of the election officers, subject
to change as provided by law,
are as follows:
