. T' "J - Parties Honor Miss Ford , Bride-elect Mrs. R. L. Eagles and Miss Joyce Eagles entertained at a floating linen and kitchen show er Friday evening at their home honoring Miss Ford. A pink color scheme was car ried out with lovely floral ar rangements throughout the house. Greeting guests was Mrs. D. L. Perry. The receiv ing line was composed of Miss Eagles, Miss Ford and Miss George Ann Ford. The Misses Fords wore pink carnation cor sages. Mrs. Ann T. Hutchinson re ceived at the dining room door where Mrs. George Ford and Mrs. Russell McKlnley of Washington alternated pouring tea. The tea table was covered with a white cloth and centered with a pink satin and net fan interspersed at the base with carnations, net and- satin ribbon streamers flanked by silver candlebra holding pink candles. Receiving in the gift room were Mr*. E. S. Ford and Mrs.' Hobart Robe r sort. Approximately fifty guests called during the hours of eight and ten. On Saturday morning at ten thirty Mrs. George T. High and Mrs. Ann T. Hutchinson hon- " ored Miss Ford with a coffee hour. The honoree was present ed with a corsage of white bri dal flowers and a gift of china in her chosen pattern. The Current literature Club foet on Tuesday afternoon with Miss Sarah Richardson as hos tess. ^ Continuing their study of the Pacific, Mrs. James Guin cave an interesting and informative talk on the history and Geo graphy of Australia after which Mrs. Douglas House reviewed Sara Dane by Catherine Gaskln.
