Off The Record Comments By T. H. Pearce Did you notice In the papers one day recently about the F.B.L picking up a Cuban .refugee be cause he had been turning out Counterfeit Cuban cash. He claimed that as a* mem ber of one of the Cuban free dom groups they had a per fect right to turn out the bogus cash as they were going to sneak It back Into Cuba and put It Into circulation In an effort to disrupt Castro's shaky econ omy even more. I think they have the right Idea. The thing I can't under stand Is Just what Jurisdiction our F.B.I. has when It comes to counterfeiting Cuban cash. I feel quite certain that there Is a law against this practice In Cuba, but why on earth should the F. B. I Interfere. I can't see where they have any more right to stop the man from turn-, out out this money than the 8tate Highway Patrol would have to arrest a Cuban driver In this Paul Bullock Show 6 a.m.? 8 a.m. Monday - Saturday On WfZS 1450 On Your Handaraon Dial 1000 Wattts WIZZZZZZ. Don't tell me that In addition to everything else the Washing ton nitwits have done to help Castro they are now going to start enforcing his laws for him. ? * * I for one am getting kind of tired of looking at that wop gangster testifying before a Senate committee on TV. First thing you know they will be giving him a big govern ment Job. Come to think of It though I doubt that he li much worse than some they already have In Washington. ? * ? A recent such call and request In our county went about as follows. One gentleman who was serv ing on the fund raising com mittee called on a good friend and said, "well I'm col lecting for the Boy Scouts, how much are you going to give thl# year?" The friend decided to get In a little leg pulling so he replied, "Just what Is this money used for?" "Why to help the scout pro gram build our boys Into adults." ? / "You mean men like you?" "Well yes I guess you might put It that way." "If that Is the case how do I go about getting back the money I have given In past years? You are working this thing from the wrong angle. What you should do Is go around and tell people that you are raising money to make certain that boys don't grow up to be like you." ? ? ? You are probably aware that the Boy Scouts are putting on a fund drive along about now, which consists of a lot of pub lic spirited men calling on their friends to obtain donations to the organization.
