Mrs. Sykes Speaks To Legion Auxiliary Mrs. Cecil R. Sykes spoke to the members of the Ameri can Legion Auxiliary on Re habilitation and Civil Defense Friday evening In the home of Mrs. E. L. Best, Jr., on John Street. Mrs. Sykes noted the Auxili ary rehabilitation was centered In education, the community, and In veteran hospitals. As to Civil Defense, she reviewed Instructions for dealing with fallouts and spoke on the ne cessity of being prepared. Mrs. John Stovall gave the devotions,,, after which Mrs. F. M. Fuller, president, led In the opening formalities. Accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Best, the group sang the "Star Spangled Banner" and enjoyed singing Christmas Carols, following the program. Mrs. Stovall, gift shop chair man, reported on the gifts sent to the four veteran's hospitals.
