Haley-Taylor Vows Spoken Sunday On Sunday, August twenty third, at (our thirty o'clock In the afternoon Miss Con stance Jaunlta Taylor became the bride ol Randall Charles Haley of Raleigh In the Cen Urvllle Baptist Church. Dot tor Eugene Owens of Wake Forest, former pastor of the bride, officiated at the double ring ceremony. The church sanctuary was de corated with emerald fern, floor baskets of pink and white gladioli and chrysanthemums Interspersed with seven branched candelabra holding burning pink tapers . Prior to the ceremony, Mrs. Esley Manning, organist, and Mrs. William R. Watklns, pianist, presented a program of nuptial music . Including "Clair De Lune," by Debussy, "Ava Maria," by Schubert, "Whither ThouGoest," bySlng er, "Llebestraume," by Liszt, "Indian Love Call," by Frlul, "One Alone," by Romberg, "O Perfect Love," by Barnby, and "The Voice that Breathed O'er Eden," by Dikes, "The Bridal Chorus," by Wagner and the "Wedding March," by Mendels sohn. Mrs. George Tharrlng ton of Raleigh, soloist, sang "Ah Sweet Mystery of Life, "1 Love You Truly," "Be cause," and "The Wedding Prayer." Given In marriage by her fath er, William Benton Taylor, the bride wore a formal sheath wed ding gown designed by her and made by her mother of candle light pesiu de sole made along empire lines featuring a por trait neckline and long sleeves extending Into calla points over the hands and watteau cathedral train. Motifs of re-embrold ered Alencon lace with seed pearls were appllqued on the en tire dress. Her tiered veil of silk Illusion fell from a head piece of lace centered with self fabric rose embroidered with pearls and crystals. She car ried a cascade of American Beauty roses centered with a white orchid. Mrs. nettle Lovln, aunt of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a floor length gown of Sunset Pink swirl Jacquard made along empire lines, short sleeves and flowing panels of American Beauty . georgette falling from the watteau back. Her headpiece was of self ma terial leaves with half circu lar veil. She carried 1 single long stemmed rose. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Marvin Jackson and Mrs. Wil liam Abrams of Raleigh, Mrs. Dallas Purvis of Kenly, Miss Sandra Shannahan of Zebulon, Miss Elizabeth Lancaster of Youngsvllle, and Miss Melodle Parrlsh, cousin of the bride, of Durham. They wore dresses of American Beauty peau de sole Identical to that of the ma tron of honor and they wore similar headpieces and carried a rose. Junior bridesmaids were Miss Miriam Joyce Leonard, Kay Frances Taylor, Ann Lovln and Bettie Sue Lovln, all cousins at the bride. They wore dres ses of Sunset Rose peau de sole Identical to those of the brides maids. | Little Miss Juanlta Bowman, cousin of the bride, of Raleigh was flower girl. Her dress of ?'white peau de sole was a minia ture replica of the bride's. She carried a basket of rose petals. Master Gregory McGee was ring bearer. John Holder, Sr., of Raleigh, was best man. Ushers were Ronald Taylor of Newport News, Virginia, and Philip Taylor of Loulsburg, brothers of the bride, Marvin Jackson, Stacey Edwards, Allen Hagwood, and Johnnie Holder, all of Raleigh. Mrs. William A. Parrish of Hampton, Virginia, was Mis tress of Ceremonies. The bride's mother wore a royal blue two-piece lace dress with matching accessories Jnd a corsage of yellow roses. Mrs. Haley chose for her son's wedding a pink afternoon j dress with matching accessor ies and a corsage of roses. Mrs. Dalton Taylor, the bride's paternal grandmother, wore a Midnight Blue Afternoon dress with corsage of white flowers. Following the ceremony,, the couple and their parents re ceived In the vestibule of the church. For going away the bride chose an aqua linen Jacket dress with black accessories and the orchid lifted from her bridal bouquet. After a wedding trip to un announced points the couple will make their home at 3518 Old Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, North Carolina. Mrs. Haley Is the only daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. William Benton Taylor of Route Two, Loulsburg. After gradu ation from the Raleigh City Schools he served four years in the United States Navy. He Is employed with Gray and Creech Duplicating Company In Raleigh. Cake Cutting Immediately following the Haley-Taylor wedding rehears al, Mr. and Mrs. William ftn ton Taylor, parents of the bride, entertained at a cake cutting and after rehearsal party at their home In honqr of the couple, members of the wed ding party, families and out of-town guests. Guests were greeted by Mrs. Cooper Leonard and Introduced to an Informal receiving line { composed of the couple, their parents and members of the wedding party. Mrs. Hollis Taylor presided at the guest registry. Receiving in the gift room were Mr. and Mrs. Max Parrtsh of Durham. The bride's table was covered with a pink net cloth caught at vantage points with miniature nosegays of roses and ribbons. An arrangement of mixed pink flowers flanked by silver can delabrum centered the table. A decorated tiered wedding cake graced one end of the table and the punch bowl was placed on the opposite end. After the couple had cut the cake, Mrs. Taylor, mother of the bride, poured punch and Mrs. Haley, mother of the bridegroom, served cake. Assisting In serving punch, cake, nuts, and mints were Mrs. Edwin Parrlsh and the bridesmaids. Good byes were said by Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Parrlsh of Thomasvllle. Miss Taylor presented gifts to her attendants.
