Trogaon-Murphy Vows Spoken Judith Gal? Murphy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Wilson Murphy of Youngsvllle, N. <5t, became the bride of George Curtis Trogdon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hay Lando Trofdpn of Toccoa, Georgia, on Satur day, September l\, 1965, In the chapel of Southeastern Semi nary at Wake Forest, North Carolina. The Reverends Jack Wilder and John Darnell of ficiated at the double ring cere mony. Prior to the ceremony, a pro gram of nuptial music was pre sented by the organist, Mr. Max Smith of Wake Forest, and solo ist, Mrs. Rufus Potts, the bride's former, voice teacher. Mu^lc consisted of " How Do I Love Thee" by Llppe, "Entreat Me Not To Leave Thee" by Gounod, , ' and "The Lord's Prayer" by Malotte. The tra ditional procession by Wagner and the recession by Mendel ssohn were used. , The bride was given in mar riage by her father. She wore the traditional tfrldal gown of deep luster satin with reem broldered French alencon lace along the sides of the empire styled skirt and the edges of the full .rounded train. Her fingertip veil was held by a half bonnet of alencon lace em broidered In seed pearls. Her only ornament was a pearl necklace, a gift from the groom. She carried a bouquet of orchids, roses and'stepha notls. Miss Cathy Murphy was her sister's maid of honor. Brides maids were Miss Kay -Trogdon of Toccoa, Georgia, sister of the groom, Miss Jean Timber lake of Youngsvllle; Mslss Becky White, Mrs. Richard Cash> Miss Betty Pearce, cousin of the bride, all of Raleigh, N. C.; Mrs. William Godwin and Mrs. Millard Maloney, bothofGreen vllle, N. C. The maid of honor and brides maids wore Identic?^ empire ^dresses in two tefies of gold. The high waisjtea bodice was of autumn go^velvet and the slim skirt a/Tighter tone of gold In creo&f Their .headpieces were crowns of gold velvet with short veils. Thelribouquets consisted of bronze mums and ribbon The maid of honor's bouquet was of yellow ro&es and mufns. Mr. Trogdon was his son's MRS GEORGE TROGDON best man. Myrphy assisted in serving br;dal :4kes decorated with Lity-of the- Valley designs, Calla Lily mints, nuts and butter mints and wedding cake. A green and white color scheme with touches of yellow was carried" out In the deco rations throughout the room. A profusion of white flowers and burning tapers were used & various areas. The serving t^ble was laid with a white satin cloth, which held the silver caldelabra with lighted tapers and a floral arrangement of white and yelloMf tarnations and mums. The background for the receiving line was composed pf brass candelabra with Ivy and burning tapers. Presiding over the guest register were Mr. and Mrs. Charlie White, Jr., of Raleigh.
