In the Hobby division local drivers Marvin Turner and Lee Dorsey from Frankllnton along with Doug Gourley and Bobby Pearce from Youngs vllle will have their haKds full against such outstanding dri vers as Wayne McGhee of Hillsborough, Donnle Lloyd of Creedmoor, winner of Satur day nights feature, Oxford's Pete Dease and Lero Beam, Tex Barbee of Durham and a host of others. ASCS Elections To Be Held By Mail An announcement made pub lic today by the local ASCS Office Manager, John R. Davis, says that 1967 ASCS Community Committeemen will be elected In September by mall. The notice also notes that community boundaries will remain the same as here tofore. The text of the notice follows: "A slate of nominees wlllbe prepared for each'of the ten communities In Franklin County. Eligible voters have the right to nominate by pe tition If they so desire. Each petition must be limited to one nominee, and must be signed by at least six eligible voters. All petitions must be received by the ASCS Office no later than August 16, 1966. Persons nominated by pe tition will be placed on the slate If eligible and willing to serve. The slate of nomi nees for each community will consist of six or more persons Including those nominated by petition. Nominees should be cur rently engaged In the op erations of a farm, and be well qualified for committee work, and represent the various sec tions and types of agriculture In the community.
