Wed At Popular Springs Miss Linda Lou Cooke and Mr. Clyde Maurice Mullen were united In marriage Sun day at 4:00 p.m. at Popular Springs Baptist Church, Bunn, N. C. The Rev. Dale O. Steele, pastor, officiated at the double- ring ceremony. The bride Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Craves Cooke of Indianapolis, Indiana and the (room, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Clyde Mullen ot Route 2, Zebulon, N. C. Mr. Cadwln Cone presented a program of music at the or gan. Given In marriage by her fkther, the bride wore an ori ginal Alfred Angelo antique white silk faced peau de sole gown with a bateau neckline and a fitted basque bodice fea turing three-quarter length sleeves with deep French Alencon lace cufflets encrust ed with seed pearls and crys tals. The controlled skirt fea tured a detachable chapel train. Her bouffant elbow length veil of silk Illusion was attached to a crown of seed pearls studded with crystal teardrops. She carried a colo nial bouquet of white sweet heart roses and stephanotls centered with a pink throated white orchid corsage. Mrs. J. E. Johnson, Jr. of New York was her sister's matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Faye Mullen of Zebulon, Miss Sherran Bai ley of Bunn, Mrs. C. P. Dow tin of Spring Hope and Mrs. L. J. Akerman of Zebulon, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids wore pink orchid full length empire gowns of French silk crepe with long sleeves featuring matching lace cufflets. The high necklines were accented by strands of pearls, a gift from the bride. Their head pieces were whimsies of pink Mrs. Kannon Entertains (Frk. B. W.) Mrs. Farrls Kannon entertained her bridge club on Tuesday evening. Her home was decorated with nan dlna berries and gourds. A Halloween motif was preve lant. Mrs. Wood row Hasklns re ceived high score prize tor club while second high went to Mrs. W. F. Miller. Mrs. Crawford Kearney was the recipient of guest high and Mrs. H. H. Utley received second high for guest. At the conclusion of the third progression, the hostess served black walnut pie and coffee. Miss Mary Elizabeth Kannon and Mrs. Fred Blount assisted In serving. Special guests were Mes damei Kearney, Utley, B. N. Williamson, Jr., JohnGonella, R. W. Moore, Fred Blount, Bruce Koneycutt and Vance Estes. Mrs. D. H. R Lee Johnaon enter tained a few Intimate friends of Miss Hannah Sykes at-* dessert hour at the home of Mrs. Rose on Sunset Avenue Upon arrival, Miss Sykes was presented a white cym btdlum orchid. Guests were Invited Into the dining room, where the table was centered with a lovely ar rangement of white mums and greenery In a *llver Revere bowl. Mrs. Johnson served the guests coffee from a silver service. Accompaniments were bridal cake squares Iced with green and topp'yl with white lilies, green and white mlnta and assorted nuts.
