attended Louisburg College,
where she majored in Liberal
Arts. Having completed four
years of private art lessons
under Mrs. M. S. Davis of
Louisburg, Trudy hopes to
continue her art at Richmond
Professional Institute In Rich
mond, Virginia in the summer
when she will be majoring in

ters, Mrs. H. L. Riggan and
Mrs. H. D. Greenway, both of
Henderson, and Mrs. M. E.
Jones of West Palm Beach,
Fla.; one half-brother, S. L.
Murray of Loulsburg; and sev
en grandchildren.
Funeral services will be
conducted at 2 p. m Friday at
Lancaster Funeral Chapel by
the Rev. Cecil Coats and the
Rev. John Andrews. Burial
will be In Elmwood Cemetery.

Rt. 2, Zebulon, who died Mon
day In Franklin Memorial
Hospital, were conducted at
2 p.m. Wednesday at Lancas

of the Bunn Baptist Church.
Burial followed in the Bunn
Cemetery.

daughter, Mrs. Z. R. Horton
of Rocky Mount; two sisters,
Mrs. Ada W. Mullen of Mac
clesfield and Mrs. Lucy E.
Wlggs of Bunn; and one bro

Trudy has sold several of her
pictures and has shown others
at exhibits which Include
Loulsburg College, New Han
over High School In Wilming
ton, N. C., the N. C. State
Fair In Raleigh, N. C., Wake
Forest, N. C., and private
showings in Virginia and Ind
iana.
The oil media, with realis
tic still life and landscapes
are Trudy's preference, but
she has done several abstracts
and enjoys water color and
pastels also. The painting
which is on exhibit for the
first week of March Is a still
life of Burnt Sienna back
ground, highlighted by a fore
ground of ochre flowers and
a copper pitcher. The exhibit
?will be changed every week,
with a variety of styles Includ
ing still life, landscape and ab
stract to be shown throughout
the month.
In addition to painting, Trudy
also enjoys horseback riding
and classical music. Our sin
cere congratulations go out to
her for being chosen our artist
of the month.
Kansas City, Kans. - In the
past, towels and silverware
were the major Items taken
by guests when leaving hotels.
Today, however, when a guest
complained because there was
no TV In him room, a room
by-room search was taken
and 145 television sets were
missing from the Town House
Hotel.
