(Nick) Hobgood, 86, of FayettevUle, died Saturday. Funeral services were con ducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Sandllng Funeral Home by the Rev. Glenn Short and the Rev. Lloyd Jackson. Burial fol lowed In the Wake Forest Ce metery. Surviving are on* daughter, Mrs. Cleo Ramey of Arling ton, Va.; three sons, Samuel L. of Fayettevllle, John G. of Raleigh and Audle T. Hobgood of Frankllnton; one brother, Will lam L. Hobgood of Raleigh; ten grandchildren; and three great-grand children. JOHN L. GODFREY Funeral services for John L. Godfrey, 79, who died Sat urday, were conducted Mon day at 11 a.m. at Lancaster Funeral Home by the Rev. Thomas Smith. Graveside services were In Barbeque Presbyterian Church ceme tery In Harnett County at 2:30 p.m. Surviving are one son, John A. Godfrey of Loulsburg; two daughters, Mrs. Charlton Da vis of Fountain, Colo, and Mrs. C. P. Caldwell of Wash ington, D. C.; one brother, Dave Godfrey of Broadway; one sister, Mrs. Carl Lytle of Sanford; eight grandchil dren; and six great-grand children. A compliment remains the best way in insuring cooper ation. MRS.
