On Thursday evening titer* 'was a covered dish supper. Following the supper. Dr. 1. N. Patterson, visiting pro lessor at Southern Seminary, spoke to the group. Introduced by the Rev. Lloyd Jackson, Dr. Patterson show ed slides about the work that the' missionaries bare done In Nlferla. The former director, of Southern Baptist Mission aries have done In Nigeria, gave some lute resting facts about the native people. He stated that the Africans were begging for more education and more doctors. Mrs. Lloyd Jackson Is pre sident of the local Woman's Missionary Union which spon sored the observance of the Week of Prayer. - T- -v . ? .. ? Christmas Progams Given Combined Choirs The four choir* of the Louls burg Methodist Church will present their annual Christ mas program on Sunday even inc, December 17, it 7: 30 p.m. The Program, under the di rection of the church's Di rector of Choirs. Mrs. Wal ter N. McDonald, will Mature carols and Christmas anthems sung by the Cherub, Junior, Youth, and Senior Choirs. So loists will be Mrs. Umphrey Lee, Mrs. McDonald, and Still man Scott. The Junior Chorus will be gin the program with a candle light " processional "O Sanc tlsslma" and followed by the singing of Little Gray Donkey by Roger Wagner and The Snow Lay On The Ground. The cantata-drama will follow in the form of a tableau which will depict T|? Long Expected Jesus, The Annunciation, The, Mother Mary, The Adoration of the Shepherds, Star of the East, Wonders of the Magi and The Manger Throne. A Christmas program of this kind is presented annually by the Music Department under the direction of Mrs. Thomas. Mr. J-E. Wilson Is principal of this school. Young people participating in the program were Carol .Mitchell, Mary Lou Brown, Janet Pearce, Harriet Pearce, Lin da Winston. Brenda Sanders, Debbie Brown.
