make a bid, upon deposit of
twenty-five dollars ($25.00)

The full deposit will be re
turned to those submitting a
bona fide proposal, provided
plans and specifications are
returned to the Engineer in
good condition within five
days after the date set for

that do not submit a bona

companied by cash, or a certi

burg, North Carolina, in rc
amount not less than five
percent (5%) of the total bid,
as a guarantee that a contract,
if awarded, will be entered
into and that satisfactory per

cuted. In lieu thereof a bid
bond which conforms to the
.provisions of GS 143-129, as
amended by Chapter 1104 of
the Public Laws 1951, may
be submitted by the bidder.
General contractors are
notified that "An Act to Reg
ulate the Practice of General
Contracting" ratified March
10, 1925, and as subsequent
ly amended (Public Laws
1937 ratified March 23) will
be observed in receiving bids
and awarding the general con
tract.
Performance bond will be
required for one hundred per
cent (100%) of the contract
price.
Payment will be made on
the basis of ninety percent
(90%) of monthly estimates
and final payment made upon
completion and acceptance of
the work.
No bid may be withdrawn
after the scheduled time for
thi receipt of bids for a
period of 30 days.
The Town reserves the
right to reject any or all bids
and to waive any or all infor
malities in any bid or bids.
