point outburst in the second
quarter, and broke open what
had been a close battle.
In the second half, Vance
County refused to fold, but the
tough Rams rolled to victory
despite a brilliant 24 point
offensive display by Vance
County's Bill Ellington.
Mac Beckham had his bast
offensive night of the year,
as ttie senior pi ay maker
pumped in 20 paints. Foster
Brodie led all scorers with
30 points and hauled down

Phantoms of Youngsville
their first defeat of the season
in the final minutes of
Youngsville's Homecoming
game Tuesday night. The
final score Mas 52-50. Lead
ing Vance Co. was Bill Elling
ton with 31 points. Morris
Catlett led the Phantoms with
18 points. Tony Bailey fol
lowed close behind with 14
points.
In the girls game Youngs
ville defeated Vance Co.
45-35. The Phantomettes
were led to victory by Vickie
Rogers with 19 points. Har
riett Pearce scored 16 points.

During the half-time of the
