conducted Monday at 4 p.m.
at Sandling Funeral Home by
the Revs. Glenn Short and
Horace Jackson. Burial fol
lowed in the Fairview Ceme
tery.
Surviving are two daugh
ters, Mrs^ Faye Piper and Mrs.
Esther Mendenhall of Frank
linton; two sons, Thurman of
Franklin'ton and Claude
Wood of Salemburg; two half
-sisters, Mrs. W. E. Lloyd of
Warrenton and Mrs. J. R.
Casey of Durham; 13 grand
children; three great grand
children.

Saturday. Funeral services
were conducted Sunday at 4
p.m. from the Lancaster
Funeral Chapel by Rev. Mel
vin Salter. Burial followed in
the Highland Memory Gar

Surviving are one sister,
Mrs. Lillian Bowling, Rt. 1,
Creed moor; one brother,
John McDonald of California,
several nieces and nephews.

Plans were made to have
the annual banquet at the
Henderson Motel Restaurant
Friday, May 9, at 7 p.m.
At the banquet, the club
will present its first scholar
ship award to a high school
senior girl. Club women, who
have had perfect attendance,
will be recognized.
Because of the banquet
May 9, there will be no meet
ing of the Franklinton
Woman's Club Thursday, May
1, the regular meeting night.
