Carden Elected Chairman Mr. Howard Carden, McCracken Oil Company, Louisburg, N. C. has been elected County Chairman of the North Carolina fttroleum Council. According to Mr. Carden, "The North Carolina Petro leum Council is a statewide organization comprised of vo lunteer county committees of oil men and women. One of my principal objectives will be to bring to residents of Franklin County facts and figures which are as much their concern as my own. Mar tin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Har vey S. Martin of Bunn, N. C., has completed 8 weeks of basic training at Fort Bragg. He has been assigned to Fort Bliss. Texas, for eight weeks of training for heavy artillery. PFC. WILLIAM W. WILSON, JR. Fort Belvoir, Vi. - Pfc. William W. Wilson. Jr., U. S. 53950860, was awarded the military rating of Gas Turbine and Generator Specialist, and received his diploma upon successful completion of the Gas Turbine and Generator Course in the Department of Mechanical and Technical Equipment at the United States Army Engineer School. This highly technical and concentrated course is de signed to give the Army En gineer the knowledge and skills needed to install, main tain, and repair Gas Turbine powered electrical generators used by the Corps of En gineers. Pfc. Wilson is the son of Mr. W. W. Wilson of 941 North Main St., Louisburg. He is a 1964 graduate of Louisburg High School.
