Deaths RAYMOND TUNSTALL Raymond Tunstall, 58, of Rt. 1, Louisburg, died Satur day afternoon at his home. Funeral services were con ducted at 4 p.m. Monday at Maple Springs Baptist Church by the Rev. Melvin Salter and the Rev. Thomas Clark. Burial was in the Highland Memory Gardens. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Tana House Tunstall. of the home; three daughter. Mrs. Jarvis McDonald, Rt. 4, Louisburg, Miss Frances Tun stall and Miss Shirley Tun stall, both of the home, and five sisters, Mrs. Fannie Brantley, Rocky Mount, Mrs. Anna Strum and Mrs. Sally Lou Harper, both of Castalia, Mrs. Pearl Davis, Louisburg, and Mrs. Clara Joyner, Wil son. MRS. MARGARET F. SMITH Henderson - Mrs. Margaret Finch Smith, 78, died Mon day. Surviving are her husband, Ernest Smith; two daughters, Mrs. Leslie Stone of Rt. 1, Kittrell and Mrs. Merlin Cash of Oxford; three brothers, C. S. of Henderson. Ralph of Sanford and George Finch of Bonita, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Wade Hight and Mrs. Bland Mitchell of Youngs ville; three grandchildren. WILLIAM R. COOKE Oxford - Funeral services for William R. Cooke, 59, retired machinist, who died Sunday, will be held at 4 p.m. today at G. T. Lakes Chapel by the Rev. Donald Price and the Rev. Glenn Short. Burial will follow in the Llmwood Cemetery. Surviving are his wife. Mrs. Lillie Saunders Cooke; two sons. William and Robert Lee Cooke of Oxford; two daugh ters. Mrs. Albert Weaver of Franklinton and Mrs. Jimmy lvey of Henderson; three brothers. Ira of Graham. Lewis of Greensboro and Er nest Cooke of Stovall; three sisters. II Airman First Class and Mrs. Milton M. Perry. II. were married on April 19. 1969 at Hamilton Air Force Base. Calif. Mrs. Perry is the former Rozan Funday. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Atillio F. Funday of Novato, Calif. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Thomas of Jacksonville. FU? and made his home with Mr. and Mrs. M. G. Winstead and Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Winstead of , Bunn during the years 1965-67. He graduated from Bunn High School in 1967. Scout News Youngsville - Twenty-one busy Girl Scouts buzzed around the Girl Scout Hut Friday afternoon. It was the Junior Scout Troop, under the leadership of Mrs. N. A. Brown and Mrs. W. M. Rob erts. all on an outing which lasted overnight. An evening meal of ham burgers and french fries was prepared outside Dessert and drinks completed the dinner. At twilight a campfire was lighted as background for scouting skits presented by each of the three patrols. .Games and contests were en joyed later. As the campfire dimmed, scouts gathered around in a circle for singing and fellowship. The outing concluded after breakfast Saturday. Chalk Reunion The annual Chalk reunion will be held at Pullen Park in Raleigh Sunday. June 8th. Lunch will be served at 1 o'clock. Film Announced Building Children's Per sonalities with Creative Danc ing is the topic of the film presentation of the week at the Family Counseling and Education Center. The film may be viewed oil Wednes day. June 4 at 1:15 P.M. or 3:30 P.M. or by special ar rangement. Films may be bor rowed from the center by community groups. Mr Edward Earl Williams. Her gown was designed and made by her mother. She wore a full length, formal, traditional I wedding gown with lace over satin featuring a fitted bodice with a scal loped neckline and a bouffant skirt with a ruffled lace open ing down the front with seed pearls. The back featured cov ered satin buttons on which was attached the full length chapel train that was appli^ caded with lace and seed pearls around the entire edge^ The long lace sleeves ended in calla points over the wrists and outlined with seed pearls. Her elbow length illusion veil with scalloped edges was at_ tached to her headpiece of petal shaped satin and lace outlined with pearls and iri descent beads and a teardrop falling over her forehead. The bride's bouquet was a purple throated orchid atop a white Bible with a cascade of satin streamers and miniature carnations. Matrons of honor tfere Mrs. Bobby Harrison, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Wesley Alford. sister-in-law of the bride. They wore floor length empire gowns of orchid chif fon over matching taffetta with an orchid chiffon train, accented by a deep orchid satin ribbon around the bodice which was covered with lace. Their headpieces had matching orchid veil at tached to a cluster of pastel leaves. They carried an arch shaped bouquet of pastel colored asters and carnations. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Donnie Edwards of Charles ton, S. C., Miss Deborah Young of Youngsville. Miss Jena Gurganus of Washing ton, N. C., and Miss Pam Williams of Rolesville. Their dresses and bouquet^ were like those of the matrons of honor. Honorary bridesmaids were Mrs. Randy Holden. Mrs. Robert Kinton. Miss Cathy Murphy. Miss Martha Carroll, all of Youngsville. Miss Janice Nail, of Salisburg. N. C., Miss Dana Arhar. Mis Susan Millard, both cousins of the bride and from Mary land. and Miss Ann Parker, cousin of the bride from New Hill. N. C. They wore floor length gowns of different pas tel colors and carried a long stem white carnation. Miss Dianne Keith, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. She wore a floor lenght gown similar to those of the brides maids. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sherwood Keith of Youngsville. Master Ron Bartholomew, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Bartholomew was ring bearer. Mr. Carl Lee Scarboro was MRS. CARL GLENN SCARBORO his son's best man. Usher; were Mr. Wesley Alford. brother of the bride. Mr. Bobby Harrison, brother-in law of the groom, Mr. Jimmy Gay, Mr Tommy Marshall and Mr. Donnie Edwards. Usherette was Miss Laura Lee Millard, cousin of the bride and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Millard or Adelphia, Maryland. She wore a pink floor length gown. Master Ricky Ellis, cousin of the groom, was junior usher. He is the son of Mr. and Mr*. Vernon Ellis of Wendell. The mother' of the bride was attired in a pink crepe, sleeveless dress with a match ing lace coat and matching accessories. The mother of the groom wore a blue dress of imported lace and chiffon with matching accessories^ They both wore corsages or white carnations. For going away the bride wore a navy blue dress ao cented with white lace and matching accessories. Her or chid was lifted from her bou quet to wear as a corsage Mrs Scarboro is a 1966 graduate of Youngsville High School and is a rising senior at East Carolina University Mr Scarboro is a 1965 gradu ate of Rolesville High School and has attended Loulsburg College and Lenior Com munity College at Kinston where he finished this spring. Upon returning from a wedding trip to unannounced points, the Scarboros will be at home in Rolesville until the fall when they will move to Greenville, N. C. After Rehearsal Party Parents of the groom, Mr. and Mrs Cart Lee Scarboro entertained the members of the wedding party at their home in Rolesville Saturday night Decorations in a bridal motiff were carried out in a pink and white color scheme The dinning room table was covered with a lace cloth over pink. At one end of the table was the three-tiered wedding cake and at the other end was a milk glass punch bowl. A pink floral arrangement was centered on the table. Reception The bride's parents enter tained the wedding guests in the Fellowship Hall of the church immediately following the wedding. The bridal couple, their parents, and members of the wedding party were in the receiving line. The guests were welcomed by Mr. and Mrs. Millard King and good byes were said to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Arhar. Presiding over the bride's register were Mr. and Mrs. Sherwood Keith and their daughter, Sharon. Also on the table was the bridal portrait and her bouquet. The serving table was cov ered with f white lace table cloth with a center arrange ment of flowers. On a separate table was the four tiered circular wed ding cake, white with orchid flowers and* topped with a bride and groom. Bitter sweet punch, cheese straws, mints, and nuts were served to the guests-. After the couple cut the traditional first slice of the wedding cake it was served to the guests by Mrs. Woodrow Millard and Mrs. Vernon Ellis. Punch was poured by Mrs. Dayton Rogers and Mrs. Wil liam H. Wall, Jr. Others assist ing with the serving were Mrs. Bill Rose of Benson, Mrs. Elvin Evans of Four Oaks, Mrs Stanley Phipps of Char lotte, Mrs. Claude Bowling and members of the Ann Wil liams' Sunday School Class and the Junior Girls' Class, Mrs. William R.
