of Religion and Philosophy at
Louisburg College, gave the
Commencement address.
Tuesday night at Gold Sand
High School.
Mr. McDonald in his
speech used the poem FOUR
THINGS by Henry Van
Dyke. He emphasized that
any well rounded, worthwhile
person must think without
confusion, love his fellowmen
sincerely, act from honest
motives and trust in God and
heaven securely. His message
was a challenge for his lis
teners to dedicate themselves
to the things that men mutt
do to save themselves and our
civilization.

Bowers and the Salutatorian
award was presented to Paula
Gupton.
