The old gymnasium will be opened each day, Monday through Friday, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings the gym will be opened from 7:30 o'clock until 10 o'clock. Pearces had 9 run*, 7 hits and 2 errors. Butner had 3 runs and 4 hits and 4 errors. Tuesday night was full of surprises in Rotary Little Lea gue play. In the first game of. a doubleheader. Waccamaw barely slipped by a determin ed Sportswear team by a score of 6 to 5. Sportswear who all season has been un able to come near being a scoring threat, suddenly found itself. Glenn Smith, who was cre dited with the win. was re lieved in the last inning by Jimmy Burnette on the mound. Although Smith was out at third in the sixth in ning. he was credited with the hit that brought in the Wacca maw team's last two runs. Leading hitter for Wacca maw was Alston who was 1 for 2. a triple. Andy Sledge, the losing pitcher, was reliev Moore. Each team gave up only 5 hits. Leading hitters for Sportswear were Mark Evans and Kevin Hawkins each with 2 for 4. Catchers were Johnny Smith for Wac camaw and Cecil Moore and Keith Shearon for Sports wear. The real upset of the even ing came in the second game when last place Codger In surance smashed the first place Pilot team 16 to 1. Winning pitcher Drubber Morton pitched a magnificent game striking out 6 batters in a row. He also came through at the plate with 2 for 3, both triples with the bases loaded. Wright was Pilot's starting pitcher and was assisted by W. Perry. G. Alford, and Strickland. Leading hitter for Pilot was G. Alford who also made their only run. Cgoper's had 5 hits and Pilot 3.
