Meeting
(FRK. B.W.) The Execu
tive Board of the Franklinton
Garden Club met at the home
of the president, Mrs. Charlie
Cates, on Tueaday afternoon.
A financial report was
given by Mils Elizabeth Allen,
treasurer. The group voted to
contribute to the World Gar
dening Project for Korean
children.
Mrs. Cates called attention
to the rating sheet and urged
the group to work towards
being on Honor Roll club.
A discussion of programs
for the year took place. Mrs.
Woodrow Haskins and Mrs.
W. P. Peaice, Jr. were appoin
ted to plan programs and
name hostesses.
The group discussed the
possibility of sponsoring the
project - "Yard of the
Month."
Mrs. W. P. Pearce, Jr. was
appointed as representative to
the Family Counseling and
Guidance Center. Mrs. Ralph
McGhee was named Year
book chairman.
The district garden club
meeting was announced for
October 31 at The Velvet
