Franklin Game Law Explained Wildlife officials have issued a reminder to hunters of the law passed by the recent General Assembly re lating to hunting from public roads in Franklin County. The law, Senate BiU No. 501, passed last May pro hibits anyone from taking or attempting to take "any game animal or game bird from any public highway, public road, Crossed Pacific Alone San Diego ? Youngsvilte Lions Hear Former DG Youngsville -- Lion Paul Lyman, Past District Governor and active member of the Raleigh Lions Club, addressed the Youngsville Lions at their club meeting held Monday night of this week at the community house. Introduced by Lion James T. Moss of the local club, Mr. Lyman spoke of his trip to Asia this year, the Inter national Lions Club Convention held In Tokyo, and his tours of Lions Clubs In Manilla, Thailand, Singapore, Tail wan, Korea and Japan. Significantly noting that since the first Lions club was established in Japan in 1952, there are now 1400 clubs with 76,000 mem ^prs. Coral Study Ordered Washington Secretary of the interior Walter J. Hickel has announced a $225,000 contract for a study of damage being done to coral reefs in the tropical Pacific Ocean by the Crown of Thorns starfish; The fish are said to feed on living coral. C. Shown were how auto racers pre pare for such an event, including in spections of vehicles and equipment prior to a race, as well as other details handled during and following the event. Moss also presided over the busineaa session, during which the club's annual pancake supper was discussed. The project is planned October 19 from four until eight o'clock. It was announced that a board of directors meeting is slated next Mon day night at 7 P.M. at the Murphy House in Louisburg. Prior to supper, the invocation was offered by Rev. John C. Allen, III.
