Huge Success
More than 1,000 persons
were fed hotcakes, sausage
and beverage by the Kpsom
Lions club when that group
sponsored its annual pancake
jamboree Thursday night in
the fellowship hall of Liberty
(Vance) United Church of

The affair is held each year
by the club as a major fund
raising drive to benefit the
blind, a major project of
Lions.
As early as 6 p.m. the
fellowship hall was filled to
capacity, with many standing
in_Jj.ne to be served. In the
kitchen at all times was a
crew of 10 or more Lion
"chefs" preparing the meal. A
number of Lionesses assisted
in the serving and cleaning of
the tables to make room for
additional pancake eaters.
The Epsom club noted at
the supper a good representa
tion from the Henderson,
Louisburg and Oxford Lions
clubs. As in similar past
events, the supper drew a
good response from visiting
club members and the general
public.
Bobby Moss serves as pres
ident of the Kpsom cluh.
