Hhfl new railroad known as the Kat- eigh k Aagnata Air Line T (being an ex tension of the Rileigh t ' , Gaston road) will be completed this fall, to a point on tho Carolina Central railway about six miles east of llockingham in Richmond conuty. It is not likely that the road willbe extended across the Carolina Central towards Columbia, for it will be greatly to the interest of the company to cultivate close buaineus relations with Charlotte and thia part of the state, and oo-owrato to some xtent with the Care liua Central. At any rate there is not a - prospect of an e rly xtenIen.fu -i. This new route will afford ua another direct line north via Raleigh. It will be as straight as the one now ruu by the N.
