Every assurance is given the farmjers f Wake and other counties that all the tobacco they may bring here will be bought at once and at good prices Ral. eigh is bound to be a good market, j The people in all. the tobacco townf 'very frankly state this. It is asseitcd that Wake is really the centre of the tobacco district, Capt. J. J. Thomas told a reporter year terday that people must not think they will all-get $50 per 100 for their tobacco.; While luckily all are having notable success in raising and curing their tobacco, yet-high prices are the exception', not the rule.' But there iai big money in tobacco, so big that if the farmers in Wake succeed this year, they will do twice as much next sea son. J-iast year Wake's cotton-ctop was 8ayj30,000 bales. If the tobacco growers succeed,' next year there will not be? over 15,000 bales. Capt. Thomas also said that another . warehouse company was in course of formation and that it would, it was un derstood, soon be completely organized. Thia will give Raleigh three warehouses, all needed this season, it is thought A stockholder speaking of the warehouse said it Would be thoroughly equipped, with a prize house connected, all the necessary machinery &c. . j " v N. 0. rJr.( Change of Schedule. - .
