H Pritohard conducted the openng exercises of the convention in th5 Baptist church, which is a most beautiful structure, an honor to the denomination and an ornament to Greensboro, the 'Gitv of Flowera " The f fly-second chapter of Isaiah wag read eand Bev. Dr. Marsh led in prayer.', President W. H. Pace called the convention to order at 11 o'clock and appointed a committee on credentials.
