We believe there arc over one hundred housts built on the line of the side-walk, and their steps or porches infringing on the right ot way. Let us have some thing done to rid us of this annoyance. A dispatch was received here, announcing the arrest by the German authorities yester day, of Edmund Abont, the French author treated it as a trifling affair. It now appears, however, that the case presents a serious as pect, and creates considerable excitement. Abont is confined at Straatburg, and his wife and children are not permited to see him.
