Of course, the taxes in 1919 are higher than in 1918, but this is not because of, but in spite of. the reval uation act. The increased taxes for the year 1919 are due to two things: 1. The public school term was by i practically unanimous vote of the people of North Carolina increased 'rom four to six montns.
