"It cleanses the liver and I feel - all right,; and have not used any other medicine as I do not see the need of it I am a guard at the State Reformatory, and have been for three or more years. When I first heard of BLACK-DRAUGHT Liver Medicine and the good medicine it was, I had been having a tired feeling when I'd get up in the morning. I would be stiff-and sore, and had a slimy, bad taste in-my mouth, but didn't think so much of it till 1 began toieei stupid and didn4 feel like eating then I knew I needed medicine. It was then I began Black-Draught, and I felt all made oicer, ready for any kind of work, ready to eat and sleep. So, for any return of this trouble, . I take Black-Draught, and for 25 years it has been my medidne, and i wouldn't be without it at all." My work is constant. I am on my feet a lot. I am out of doors, and fresh air and Black-Draught are all the : medicines 1 need. I recommend it to others for 1 know it is good." Sold Everywhere, no III M ',- DO POBUC HEALTH By JWm. 5f . Jones,' M. B. Comfort For Cows - The season of. the year fs ap p.roaching when, in many sections at the,, country, cows will ibe kept in the stables at night and at least part of the day. Under such condi tions, comfort and healthful sur roundings for dairy cattle are ex ceedingly important. - The chief items entering into comfort and healthfulness are light, air-space, ventilation, bedding, and sufficient room. There should be at least four square feet of window glass for each stall or stanchion in the stable. Win dows should be well distributed sr that all parts of the stable are lighted. At least 500 cubic feet o air-space are neceseary for, each ani mal? so that every one may secure an adequate supply of air. In very cold climates more than 800 cubic feet of air per cow is 'liable to re sult in a cold stable, but unde ordinary conaitions tne air-space may be as high as 1,000 cubic feet per animal. Of course sufficient air-space alone is not enough. The air must be changed frequently so that fresh air is available. This should be done without" causing drafts of cold air on the cows, or unduly lowerln the temperature of the Stable. I cold regions, a system xtt intake anc outlet "flues is necessary, to accom plish proper ventilation. In warmei places, fresh air may La admitted through windows hinged at the bot torn and tipping inward. Any suc cessful ventilating system must ad mit fresh air in a manner that wil not chill the cow, and provide a means of removing foul air. Cows should be plentifully, sup plied with clean bedding, for both comfort and cleanliness. Animals should not be kept in crowded quar ters for the same reasons. Dairy inspectors in callrhg these ; matters to the attention of dairy men, may maKe it plain mat tney not only encourage sanitation but also promote the efficiency and economy of milk production.
