The recent freshets in the river and creeks injuring very materially the corn crop in the low grounds, Old Booir, We were shown this morning; a history of the world, writ ten by Sir Walter llaliegh, and print ed at London in the year 1G14. This very interesting history bo'ongs to Dr. Win. R. King of this place ; it is in two large volumes and in a state of good preservation. In the first volume is a most interesting sketch of the life of the author. No corps of instruction in any Col. lcfrc in the land is abler than that of jtho Louisburg Femalo College. All ;tho branches pertaining to a finished education are taught there, and well taught.
