Commutation Bill for 'Lost and Disabled Limbs.; We understand that, owing to a publication by a city cotemporary during the recent Legislature-to the effect that, that body had passed : a bill giving commutation to State soldiers of the late Confederacy for the loss of their arms, a large lum ber are preparing to visit the City in in order to take advantage of the sup posed act. Several have already ar rived and met with bitter disappoint ment. No such act as was announced passed both bodies of the Legislature. It did, however pass the Senate, but we arc informed now that it was never reached in the House, JVe are sorry it did not.
