From the beginning with Klee & Co, I have had smooth sailing, and, that a thoroughness in every detail is abundantly evidenced by the immense growth of our business within the "past five years and which is constant ly increasing from season to seasdnT - "" At an expenditure of much timb and labor, we present for the sptihg and summer 1902 season the most extensive and complete- line . of high class tailoring fabrics ever placed! before the trade. C This matchless assortment was selected with the greatest care and embraces tne most desirable patterns from both foreign and domestic mills. These garments are made in modern, clean and ventilated rooms, where only the most skilful expert cutters and tailors .axe employed, During the process of the manufacture of all garments, every detail is carefully examined by thoroughly competent foremen under the perT sonal supervision of Klee & Co.' The vast manufacturing, facilities of Klee & Co. enables them to produce the highest class, of. tailoring at most popular prices. At the plav "Fabio Eomani given at the Academy of Music on Monday evening, a number of fine j steriopticon views were showed in a novel manner. One of our late lamented president yras shown which was greeted with the loud est applause. The next following was that of President Roosevelt and met with loud hisses. To say that we, were shocked scarcely expresses our feelings. President Roosevelt is one of the most illustrious men of the century. One who has taken his life in his hands and led regi ments in fierce bloody battles for his country's sake and considered not his life dear unto himself. Boose velt is the first scholar that has filled the presidential chair since Jefferson. He has written many valuable .- volumes, has served well and faithfully as chief of police of New York city, Governor of the state of New York and vice-presi- dentof the United States and all with credit to himself and to the offices. ' Roosevelt is a unique character in American history, a man of unapproachable .character As president of the United ; States he is a member of no political partys We ask, is it seemly for an audience of educated and intelligent, citizens to plainly and publicly demonstrate party spite and feeling. By rea son of a mistake which we need not mention, Roosevelt has made him self unpopular in the- south. Is it reasonable to forget all the honor able and brave r deeds the man has rendered for his country on ac count of a mistake which was not of a public nature. Every man has the right to his own opinion but as President of the United States' Roosevelt should have the respect of her' citizens. While the Tab Heel does not agree with him -in politics yet it recognizes the fact that he is not f the. leader of any political party, but rather the pres ident of the whole people. As such the hisses which greeted his likness at the hall on this occasion were entirely uncalled for and but-of- place to say the least.
