E. Speight Be quest the Honor of your presence at the marriage of their daughter Ella Mae to James Clifton Wood Wednesday evening November twenty sixth nineteen hhndred and two at eight thirty o'clock Methodist Episcopal Church Eliza beth City, North Carolina. Pointed Paragraphs. Be sure your sins will find you but if you are ever a candidate for office. Milk of human kindness is- us uallyofapoor quality and little in the can. The poor girl thinks it's positive ly wicked for a man to marry for money. When a man goes at things head first he often gets there with both feet. Wise ia the man who can give a woman advice without incurring her enemity. Talk is cheap; yet some people will give up a dollar to hear a tiresome lecture. According to the small boy's version a thin slice of cake isbetter than no bread. A true Christian is a man who loves his neighbor's small boy as he does himself. Many a young man has been cured of palpitation oi the heart by marrying the girl. When two men are unable to agree they usually leave: it to the man behind the bar.. Many a man makes a fool of him self because he hasn't the moral courage to do otherwise.. ; In England gentlemen often ride to hounds;, in this country they frequently go to the dogs. Will Send a Coffin. A Young fellow in this City, who by the way is a confirmed cigarette fiend wrote the American Tobacco Company that he had smoked six thousand boxes of a certain brand of their cigarettes. He probably thought that this startling information would bring him a car load of Dukes Mixture and a bale of rice paper; but instead came the brief reply: "Smoke another box and Jwe will send you down a coffin."
