The dry "kilns containing a large quantity of lumber were burned .'into ashes and the flames attacked the huge piles of lumber near-by on the yard and soon crumbled ihem into ashes. The fire was subdued about three o'clock, but the engine kept stream of water playing into the smoldering ashes and cinders all the -afternoon and late into the night.
