The sons of the Siamese have all been well-to-do. The pecu liar inheritance of deafness was an affliction that added an additional strangeness to the family. The mute was bright and quick of wit, though in each branch of the family there seems to have been more or less a freak of nature. The older boys of the Chang family have spread out into other sections. PEOPLE'S GIN- NINO COMPANY SOMEWHERE. Fresh air, night and day, The Singer Sewing Machine Com pany offers to let any woman have a Singer on trial in her own home, absolutely without cost or obligation to buy. This is one of the most remark able offers ever made by an old es tablished firm selling an article the name of which is a household syn onym for value all over the world. The reason for the offer is that the Singer people believe that ohe of their machines should be in every home In the country, and are will ing to place one free on trial any where the Singer is unknown, confi dent that its good qualities will make permanent friends of all who use it. All you have to do to take advan tage of this offer is to notify the Singer Company as to the machine you desire. They will deliver It at your door absolutely without charge, and if you are not satisfied with it after a trial, they, will come and re move it at their own expense. The Singer has many points of superiority over all other machines. The greatest of these is its famous elastic stitch. Inferior machines sew with a constant tight thread tension. Seams made by such machines have no ?ive nor elasticity, and when a strain is put upon them, they will either draw, pucker or eut clear through, often ruining much valuable material. The Singer sews with a thread tension always the same as the material sewed. Singer seams stretch like part of the material sew ed snd always maintain their orig inal smoothness and strength. This Singer runs easier than any other sewing machine. For particulars of this remarkable offer call nr address the Singer. Sewing Machine Company Poindexter Street, Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
