Will Address Cotton Growers at
Lumberton Monday.
The officers of the County Cot
ton Growers Association urge that
there be a large attendance of cot
ton planters and farmers, as well
as business mn. at Lumberton
next Monday to hear the address
of Mr. C. C. Moore, president of
the State Cotton Growers Associa
tion. Immediately after the ad
dress there will be a special meet
ing of the County Association.
Everybody is invited to be pres
ent to hear the kddress and attend
the meeting.
Large Land Deal.
A'large land deal was made in
Columbus connty a few days ago
in which Mr. Archie Toon, who
resides six miles north west of
Whiteville, sold to the Carolina
Real Estate Trust Company, of
Wilmington, acres of laud.
Mr. Toon received something
more than $12,000 for the land.
Including, the property transfei red
is the home place of Mr. Toon,
one of the best in the county of
Columbus.

the undersigned Sheriff of Robeson Coun
ty from the Clerk of the Superior Court
of stud County, on a judgment docketed
in the said Court, entitled A. I. Floyd
Bgainst C. W. McArthur, I will on Mon
day, the 5th day of February, 1906, at 12
o clock, M., at the Court House door id
Lumberton, N. C, offer for sale at public
auction to the highest binder for cash, in
order to satisfy said execution, the follow
ing described lands, being tfle same prop
erty attached in this action, bounded and
described as follows, to-wit:

Holy Swamp, beginning at a stake in the
