Lula Taylor, the young girl
who has been much in the public
rye here recently on account of
her arrest and detention on ad
vices from Fayetteville, was last
night by Judge Jones given the

mother jn Fayetteville or of being
paroled in the care of Adjutant
and Mrs. Yutes of the Salvation
Army in this city- She finally
decided in favor of the latter
course.
The case as brought to Judge
Jones on habeas corpus proceed
ings, instituted by Wood us Kel-
lum, Esq., which asked that the
mayor ana chief of police be
commanded to have her before
the court, as the writ alleged
that the girl was being illegibly

of her liberty, to await
an officer fi cii i' r.yetteville w .
