McNatt and chil dren returned home this week after an extended visit to rela tives in Florida. Mrs. J. D. Cobb, who has been visiting her parents at Dunn, re turned home Thursday. Miss Fannie McBryde.of Little River Academy, is visiting rela tives here. Mrs. Rosa Thompson, of Bar Raw, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Welch. Mrs- P. S. Stamps came Fridiy and is at the hotel for a few days before going to house keeping. We gladly welcome these good people in our midst. Mr. Verna McGougan, son of Mr. J. D. McGougan, near Lum ber Bridge, who has been Mo Florida for sometime, died Sat urday at Perry, Florida, of apo plexy. The remains reached lere Monday on the noon train accompanied by his two brothers and Mr. C. P. McGougan. The emains were laid to rest Tues day at the ramuy burying ground. B.Brice & Son kave recent ly received a large shipment of mules and horses. Mr. Silas Griffin enjoyed a family reunion last Wednesday, it being his seventy-second birth- dav. We don't know whether we are to be taken in or not, but hear that they intend to annex Graham's mill pond. We don't know th? sentiments of the Robeson part of the proposed new county, but one thing we do know, and that is, they will have a hard road to travel and will spend many a picayune before Raeford gets a court house.
