The ladies and others have an
interesting entertainment at
Barnesville on the evening at

me contains some splendid
musie.both vocal and instrumen

of the exercises will be some re
citations, reminiscent of thebO's
b; two prominent lady elocu
tionists, followed with an address
by liev. James A. Smith, of V."ii
uiingtou, on "old war times" and
the thrilling experiences of the
brave men who followed Jackson
andLe,and planted theStarsaud
Bars on many a battle held dur
ing the memorable days from 'Gl
to '65. It is needless to say that
Mr. Smith's address will be both
interesting and thrilling. He
followed the Confederate flag to
the bitter end, throwing down his
gun at the feet of his Yankee cap
tor at the fall of Fort Fisher.
The ladies Bazaar will furnish
oysters, sandwiches, hot coffee
fruit, etc on the occasion, and
hope to do a good business.
Young men, bring your sweet
hearts and endeavor to have the
beautiful picture awarded to her,
