Claude Floyd is expected home from a visit to relatives at Maxton. Mr. Everett Mitchell, R. P. D. No. 3. left last week for treat ment at the Highsmith Sanita rium , Fayetteville. He has been sick for several weeks and we trust, may be greatly helped' Mr. Morgan Inman?andif?mily left Monday to live on the tyarm of, Mr. Joe Bullock. Thty have many friends in town who are sorry tolose them. Dr. Brown went to Wilming ton Monday on a business trip. Mrs. Cynthia Hursey, an aged lady who made her home with her son in Dillon, S. C, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Christian Braswell, last week and was buried in Ashpole church grave yard. She formerly lived here among her daughters who are Mesdames Lae, Braswell and Byrd, but for some time has made her home with her son. Rev. J. A. Hursey, oi Dillon- She was ninety years old and had been a member of the Baptist cnurcn ror seventy-nve years. What a fine record! One of which few could boast. Mr. W. S. Ivey and family and Mrs. Brown, Mr. Ivey's sister, who is visitincr him. spent last Saturday and Sunday here with relatives. Mrs. Latta Floyd and little son, or boutn Carolina, have been up on a visit to Mr. J. H. Floyd's family. Messrs Ehas and Nazreth Jen kins have finished and moved into their nice new cottage homes in the northern part of town. Mr. E. w. Floyd's millinery opening will be held Friday after noon.
