Mr. Julian A.Pope Paused Away in Charlotte Saturday Night -Remains Brought Home Last Night, Funeral This Afternoon From Residence of Parents. Mr.Juliar. A. Pope. oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira L. Pope, died at the Crowell Sanatorium in Charlotte, where he was taken last Thursday for treatment at ):05 o'clock Saturday night Mr. andMrs. Pope went to Charlotte yesterday and the remains were uiLumberton last night. The funeral takes place this af ternoon at 3:o) o'clock from the home of the parents of the de- Third streets.and the interment will take place in Meadow-brook cemetery, in JNortn LumDerton. The services will be conducted by Rev. C. H. Durham, pastor ot the First Baptist church. The fall bearers are: Messrs. Howard Morrison, A. H. and Geo. B. Mc- lAod: Prof. K. E.Sentelle, Dr. J. J. Crowe, and Mr. H. A. Webber, of Charlotte, who cametoLumber wn last night with the remains as a representative of the Elks, of which order the deceased was a member. Julian Alexander Pope was born March7, 1884, and was there fore only 25years old. His un timely death is rendered all the more sad by reason ot the tact that he had recently C.D.Campbell Dies in Alabama. Mr. C. D. Mr. W. J. Smith, for many years a justice of the peace of Thompson township, died Friday night at his home in Rowland after sickness of several months with cancer of the mouth.
