The good people of the community furnished a dinner that did credit to them, which was enjoyed by all present. Rev. and Mrs. E 0. Hazel Eyes. A. & M. College News Notes. Correspondenc of The Robesonian. West Raleigh, Oct. 3. -The college opened this year with the largest enrollment in the history of the college, the total enroll ment to date being 524. This is a considerable increase over last year's enrollment of 475 at the same date. A. & M. is not only growing in its number of students, but she is increasing in size as well. During the summer three build ings were under construction, these being: a dining hall, with a seating capacity of 600; an ani mal husbandry buiiding for the agricultural department, and two wings of 24 rooms each, were added to the new dormi tory which was erected in the summer of 1909. The latter of these buildings is one of the most handsome pieces of architecture on the campus. About the mid dle of October work will begin on the $40,000 Y. M. C. A. build ing. All the students and facul ty as well are looking forward to this building with very much in terest. This building has long been needed at A. & M. to carry on thework of the Association, andlo furnish" a general meet ing place for the students. Football is progressing nicely. There are a squad of 45 sturdy "would-be" farmers on the ath letic field every afternoon all fighting for a position on the ' varsity. The first game of the season comes off on next Satur day, October 7th, with the U. S. Ship Franklin, now stationed at Norfolk, Va. The entire ship of 600 men will accompany the team. The sailors will be enter tained by the chamber of com merce of Raleigh while in the city. "A. & M. played this team three years ago. the score beintr 5 to 0, A. & M. the victor. They I are determined to reverse this result, but A. & M. will put up a , stiff fight to win the game. The farmers have lost only two or three men from flhe team that conquered the South Atlantic -championship last season, and LONG BRANCH LOCALS. A Cry for Cotton Pickers Sun day School Anniversary Per sonal. CorrMPondnc of Tbc RobMonian Lumberton. R. F. D. 4, Oct. Cotton picking is the order of the day in this Durg and I never have heard such a cry for help Saturday morning good and early the people from every di rection began to gather to cele brate the anniversary which was held with the Long Branch Bap tist Sunday school, 1 must say that the speakers from every school did fine, also the singing was fine. At 12 o'clock dinner was spread and there was plenty left for supper. At 3 o'clock the crowd was called together with a song by the Long Branch choir. The school went another round, after which Mr. Jim Prevatt made a speech that was worth hearing, then Mr. E. J, Britt was called upon and he also made a good speech. I think every one present enjoyed the day. Sunday morning Mr. S. L. Parker taught the Sunday school lesson, after which Prof. Sen telle of Lumberton made one of the finest Sunday school talks ever made at Long Branch. The only thing that we regret is that more people did not hear it Mr. T. N. Higley and daugh ter, Miss Emma, of Lumberton, attended church here Sunday. Mr. Willis Britt is all smiles: it's a girl. Miss Leta Hedgpeth of Orrum spent Saturday night and Sun- "Brown Eyes." ' HELPFUL HINTS ON HAIR HEALTH. Scalp and Hair Troubles Gener ally Caused by Carelessness. Dandruff is a contageous dis ease caused by a microbe which also produces baldness. Never use a comb or brush belonging to some one else. No matter how cleanly the owner may be, these articles may be infected with microbe?, which will infect your scalp. It is far easier to catch hair microbes than it is ? to get rid of them, and a single stroke of an infected comb or brush may well lead to baldness. Never try on anybody else's hat Many a hat-band is a resting place for microbes. If you happen to be troubled with dandruff, itching scalp. falling hair or baldness, we have a remedy which we believe will completely relieve these troubles. We are so sure of this that we offer it to you with the under standing that it will cost you nothing for the trial if it does not produce the results we claim. This remedy is called Rexall "93" Hair Tonic. We honestly believe it to be the most scientific remedy for scalp and hair troubles, and we know of nothing else that equals it for effective ness, because of the results it has produced in thousands of cases Rexall "93" Hair Tonic is de vised to banish dandruff, restore natural color when its loss has been brought about by disease, and make the hair naturally silky, soft and glossy. It does this because it stimulates the hair follicles, destroys the germ matter, and brings about a free, healthy circulation of blood, which nourishes the hair roots, causing them to tighten and grow hoi mnnf nn.uk who has any trouble with hair or Kl scalp to know that we think that Rexall 93" Hair Ton e is the best hair tonic and restorative in existence, and no one should scoff at or doubt this statement until they have put our claims to a fair test, with the under standing that they pay us noth ing for the remedy if it does not give full and complete satisfac tion in every particular.
